Translate that!

Buongiorno

Not a lot has happened this week just a few stories. I don't know what it is with me and fences, but I seem to keep running into incidents with them. The other day we found ourselves trapped in by some fences so we decided to jump them cause they were only waist high. Well the last fence had a very high drop that I didn't see, so when I jumped over it I landed pretty hard. I just laid there for a bit while Anz Price laughed at me. We went to Cosenza yesterday and had an amazing Zone Conference, but the best thing is I found this Greek resturant that sold these amazing things called giros. They were good. A really funny thing is this morning two TJ's (Jehovah's Witnesses) knocked on our door, and thought they could tell us about the scriptures. It went quite the other way, and they left pretty upset and spiritually broken. Alright now for the big story. Anz Price and I were walking out on this pier to see if there was anyone we could talk to. We ran into this group of teenage guys and girls, and they did the usual stupid question in english "Do you speak english?" So we replied the same way as always and just go off in English. After we figure out they don't speak english we tried to invite them to english class. I was talking with these two girls (cause they were the only ones interested in the gospel and not Anz Price), and one of the uninterested ones asked me if I could translate the english on her shirt. So I did. Then her one of her friends that had her back turned to me turned around and had her shirt pulled all the way down!!! She asked me to translate that, but I didn't see any english. Needless to say we got out of there pretty quick. That's all for this week tune next time for the amazing adventures of Anz Paul in Italy.

I'm not in Texas anymore

Buongiorno

Wow, this week has been quite busy and I can't believe how fast time flies. Something cool that happened to us the other day is that we were coming out of the old city (every city in Italy has an old part of the city where everything is really old and it's amazing that people still live there) when the big Cathedral of the city started to ring it's huge bells. It made me jump and it really made me realize that I'm not in Texas anymore. It's funny how comfortable I've become here, and it's only been four months. I will probably leave Crotone in about 3 weeks and that will really make me sad. I love this little city and the friends that I've made here. The past two days I had to spend in Cosenza cause my companion went to Catania for a meeting. It was fun being in a four man city especially with the new zone leader Anz. Wood. He's really funny and gets me to do stupid stuff like..... After a long rainy night of mostra we went to buy pizza. They made them by hand after you ordered and he had a lot of pizzas to make. It took about 45 mins, so while we were waiting this group of people had just left and they didn't eat half of their pizza. Anz. Wood dared me to go and eat the rest of the pizza, so I did and after about 2 mins he was right next to me along with Anz. Pacada. I know it was pretty pathetic looking, and if there wasn't a wall blocking the view of the workers I think we would have done it anyways (we were starving). Easter went well, but the crazy thing is the day after here in Italy is a huge holiday where everyone goes out of town. Cosenza was completely dead. I saw like two people outside. The pictures are all of Crotone. Hope ya'll like em.

My blanket had blown to who knows where

Ciao Tutt

Buongiorno!

Hey the crummiest thing happened to me this last week. We had transfers, and Anz. Beck went to Bari and I got a new companion, but this isn't the bad thing. We had to go to another city (Cosenza) so Beck could take a bus to Bari. Right before we left I washed my blanket and bed sheets, and hung them on the clothes lines (there are no dryers in Italy). Well, the night I got back there was a huge windy storm in Crotone, and I found that my blanket had blown to who knows where. Also my sheets were soaked and I had nothing to sleep with that night. Something else I saw that was really funny was as we were walking down the street we passed one of those games where you put money in it and you use a claw to try and grab stuff. The funny thing was that among all the candy and the stuffed animals were about 6 packs of cigeretts. I thought that was funny. I hope ya'll enjoy the pictures.

Arrivederci.
