Now she's keeping an eye on me.
Buongiorno
Well, nothing really big has happened. Acutally we had transfers. I am staying here in Palermo until the end of Agosto at least, and probably for longer. Right now though there is a bit of a shortage of missionaries in the mission so a campanionship was closed here in Palermo. My companion unfortunatly was transfered and now I have Anziano Smith. He is still a greeny. He's a cool kid, and he's from Utah as I think any of you could have guessed. Right now we are just 6 missionaries in the entire city of Palermo. That's not a lot. So, with transfers we have had a lot to do. We have been running from appointment to appointment so my companion could say his good byes.
We also have had way to much food to eat these past few days. I think I might need to fast to keep my form. Also, this was really cool: President Taranto and his wife came to Palermo Saturday afternoon, and took us all out to lunch. We spoke with them a lot, and then the next day they came to church then to the baptism later that night. The baptism was really great. There was a great spirit, but honestly I can't say much because I was stuck out in the hall doing usher duty. Anyway, now the woman that just got baptized has a husband that is starting to think about taking the same step. So, we could be having another great baptism coming up.
After the baptism we had a little refreshment, and after a bit of time we realized that it was really late. So, we left and waited for a bus. We waited, and waited. So, we decided to walk a little further to another stop where more buses pass. We ended up walking pretty far when President Taranto pulls up with the mini van and asks if we needed a lift. We concurred, and squeezed 8 missionaries in the back bench, and another 3 in the trunk area. I had to lay across the legs of everyone. So, this was our first impression to our new President. Arriving home Sunday night at about midnight. That was great. Well, the new President is pretty cool. His wife is cool too. I tried to give her some chinotò at the baptism, but she caught on to the joke. Now she's keeping an eye on me. Well, I love you all.
Spero che stiate bene. Ci sentiamo.
Anziano Paul
