...and then the crystal blue ocean just appears out of nowhere.
Well, I apologize for not writing last week, but things have happened so that I was unable to stay long at the computer. I have actually been transferred from the smallest city in the mission to the biggest city. Palermo is where I am now. I just arrived a few hours ago, and I must say it was quite the drive over here. Western Sicilia is really pretty. Rolling green hills, with lots of pasture land, and then the crystal blue ocean just appears out of nowhere.
I am really excited now because I am actually opening a new companionship here in Palermo, so we get to start everything from scratch. Starting tonight as soon as I finish writing ya'll. It's going to be a great experience, but I must say that after 9 months in the Puglia it was hard to leave that area. I made a lot of friends there and my companion and contacts were very sad to see me go. It's a good feeling to feel loved by someone.
Well, as of right now I don't have much else to say, but I do have some pictures for ya'll from Easter. The first is of this procession that is done in Taranto and Spain. They are the only two places in the world that do this type of procession. These men pay thousands of dollars to walk bare footed in the street and dress up like the KKK. The next one is just another picture of the scary guys walking in the street. Hope ya'll enjoy.
Ciao
Anziano Paul
