Carnivale!

Buongiorno!

Hey guess what. Carnivale just ended thank goodness. Wow I've never been so scared to get hit by an egg or sprayed with shaving cream. Carnivale is like a two week period where people play jokes on eachother. The main one is eggs or shaving cream, and as an American missionary we stick out like a sore thumb. We had a few close calls with some eggs last night, but my companion got sprayed with shaving cream all over his back. He was pretty mad. It really hit me the other day when we were walking around the city how awesome Italy is. Just that morning we talked with some teenagers that were saying Crotone was an ugly city, and America was so beautiful. I just had to laugh inside myself cause they have no idea. America is beautiful in the country(which is all they've seen on TV), but an American city comes nothing close to an Italian city. People build their houses into old ruins, and they have a castle in the middle of the city. It's interesting to see their point of view. I'm sooo excited for tomorrow cause we get to play soccer. I can't wait. I'm sorry I haven't been able to send some pictures. It's really difficult cause I don't know how to use computers and everything is in Italian! Next week maybe I will be able to cause I've got a plan. Can't wait to hear from ya'll.
